Nude Engagement Shoot in Zipolite

Nude Engagement shoots are a thing!  We've done several.  But I can't say we've seen many (any?) other photographers doing them.  So, maybe nude engagement shoots are our thing?!   How very convenient then that we should run into a young man on our three week holiday in Mexico who just happened to be planning a surprise proposal to his beloved while we were all in the little Oaxacan beach town known as Zipolite.  It was also quite convenient that the wannabe groom, Hector Martinez, is the current president of the Mexican Nudist Federation (FNM) and his intended bride, Andrea, is chief officer of a club called Naturaleza y Nudismo Guadalajara (NNG).  And, by some weird coincidence, Zipolite Beach just happens to be Mexico's only legal clothing optional beach.  The only thing that didn't work in full favor of this shoot is that we were on vacation and only brought with us a single small camera and a couple budget lenses.  We also had to wait breathlessly for a few days to find out if Andrea would say 'yes.'  Fortunately for Hector and us, she did!  As a photography setting, the colourful town of Zipolite, our quirky hotel, and the exquisite beach, combined with the natural ease, grace and playfulness of our subjects seemed to easily make up for any equipment limitations we faced.  We had fun with this shoot.  Congratulations, Andrea and Hector!
