Luna (Cortes Island Portrait Photography)

darshan-photography_0002Our friend and neighbor, Russ, asked us to take a few portraits of his beloved dog, Luna, so he'd have some shots of her to show to far-away friends.  Now, Luna is one wiggly, squirmy, happy creature, not so apt to want to sit still and be posed or especially poised. And being an all black animal she is a tough subject for auto-focusing.  No contrasting areas for the lens to grab onto.  For a bit there we were thinking of either painting stripes on her or giving up.  But we persevered, she slowed down a notch, and the session came to some fruition.  Couldn't help snapping some photos of the amused on-lookers, as well.  The frosty cold afternoon photo shoot ended indoors with hot tea and family card games.darshan-photography_0006darshan-photography_0009darshan-photography_0003darshan-photography_0001darshan-photography_0004darshan-photography_0005darshan-photography_0008
