James & Breanne [Bear Mountain Victoria Wedding Photography]

We photographed Breanne and James wedding on a sunny day in mid-August at Bear Mountain Resort in Victoria, B.C. It was a blending of mostly British and American family and friends who gathered in Canada at this hilltop resort for the charming nuptial celebrations. Proximity to the golf links was apparently James' one requirement for the wedding venue. Bear Mountain fits that bill with a separate course immediately below and above the ceremony site. Naturally, golf figured prominently in the afternoon affair and we even managed to "borrow" some golf carts to go out on the fairways hunting for portrait opportunities.Here's Breanne in her own words describing how this union came to be:"James moved to the US in 2008 on a visa. He is from Buckinghamshire, England. I grew up in Indiana and landed in Seattle as a traveling RN. I currently work for Lifecenter northwest as an organ recovery coordinator.We met in the summer of 2009 at a place I like to call a "classy establishment", known as the Hula Hula. It was a comical evening as I had friends in town visiting and James apparently was out for a bachelor party.We were on our way home late that night when we discovered this amazing karaoke place! We bumped into James' large group of men, whom my friend coined the 'international bachelor's club'. Each one seemed to be from a different continent. Needless to say, James and I had an immediate connection, I proceeded to whip him out on the dance floor where I believe I stole his heart away.I actually did not believe I would see him again....then about a month later, we randomly met up one evening. It was game over then...that is the dating game, we were inseparable.Ah, memories lol".
